Information on Conference 2007:

Our 2007 Conference not only addressed concerns in the field of public safety but also reached new goals in providing updated technologies and education for all of the 2007 attendees.

Furthermore, a wide variety of Speakers and Vendors shared their knowledge with our telecommunicator, as well as others in this ever-expanding profession. Also exhibited were new equipment lines, resources and updated materials to stay in the forefront of this high tech field of our world today.  Several of our telecommunicators voiced our 2007 conference as being one the best they had ever attended.

Success is always achieved when you have a joint effort of dedicated professionals and people who work together as a team. The Association of Public Safety Communications Officials MS Chapter board members have worked together as such to provide this continuing education for the telecommunicator and to keep the dispatchers informed on the latest technology and information possible at this time.

We would like to say thank you to the entire Vendor and Speaker Staff that assisted us in achieving this years goals. Know your efforts made our conference a huge success.

Entertainment

Monday night entertainment was started off with a trip to the Antique Car Museum located in Tupelo MS. You could only imagine the number of antique cars that were on display for everyone to enjoy. The museum features several different antique model cars and celebrity cars also. The collection was absolutely amazing. Here are a few photos for your enjoyment.

Following the car museum everyone joined together in the hospitality room for some fellowship and entertainment from Drew Poppelreiter.  Drew has an awesome voice and everyone enjoyed himself or herself tremendously. Drew has been entertaining in several locations across the state and will soon make it big in country music. He will soon be touring in Nashville Tennessee and we all wish him the best in his endeavors. Everyone would like to thank Drew for taking time out of his busy schedule to help make our conference a huge success with the entertainment.

Tuesday night Truman Carter and his band The Bushwhackers to say the least awesome; everyone enjoyed all the entertainment and had a wonderful time. We would like to thank Truman for his participation in the entertainment, he is very busy working as an Investigator at the Lee County Sheriff Office also a Hostage Negotiator with his lifetime K-9 companion Zorra who works with Truman as the Lee County Sheriff Office Bomb Dog.  Here are some photos to show you what all you missed at Conference 2007.
