The Association of Public Safety Communications Officials MS Chapter would like to welcome a new board member to our staff. Tommy Alderman with ADSI has accepted the role and responsibilities of the Chapter Commercial Advisory Member to assist the board members of the MS Chapter in their endeavors to achieve the highest level of the newest technology in the field of public safety, and promote continuing education for the telecommunicator.

Tommy Alderman is the East Regional Sales Director for Application Data Systems, Inc A Mississippi Corporation. He has spent 18 years in full-time law enforcement, the first two of which were spent as a Communications Officer for the Baker Police Department in Louisiana, and served his last three years as Captain of Uniform Patrol for the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in Brookhaven MS. Tommy remains as a commissioned police officer of the Baker Police Department.

Certified as a tactical baton instructor, a chemical weapons instructor, and a DARE. Officer, Tommy has often spoken to various groups of public safety professionals on topics such as police ethics, public safety marriage, and leadership in public safety.

Tommy has also served as a chapter member of the state of Louisiana Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team, responding to traumatic incidents across the state.” Protecting those who protect us”

Married to Patti Persick Alderman since 1987 and is a father of four children: Cameron 17, Chelsea 15, Carlianne 12, and Cory 10. The Alderman family lives outside of Brookhaven MS, where they maintain a small homestead with chickens & turkeys, diary goats, and a donkey with a host of dogs and cats
